All these systems worked in tandem to transform a sub-$10K/month operation into a thriving brand that soared past the $100K/month mark in under a year.
By fixing the fundamentals and implementing a repeatable growth system, Cranium Press now operates with a highly efficient 12% TACoS. Their new goal is to consistently hit $120k+ months as they expand their catalog to more than 40 SKUs.
Cranium Press had reached a hard ceiling with their Amazon presence. Their growth stalled, and their advertising efforts were costing them money. Without the deep expertise or structured systems to scale effectively, they were facing roadblocks that their production capabilities alone couldn’t solve.
Upon onboarding them, we quickly uncovered a number of core issues:
Their ad account was chaotic. Campaigns were burning through cash with no clear methodology, resulting in a sky-high TACoS of near 50% and a significant drain on profitability.
A fear of tying up capital in slow-moving products led to chronic under-stocking. This meant frequent stockouts on some of their best items, which killed sales velocity and erased any gains made from their ads.
Their product detail pages weren’t converting. The main images had a click-through rate below 1%, and shoppers who did click were not compelled to buy, leaving massive opportunities on the table.
Their initial “we can make anything” approach meant they lacked a cohesive brand identity and a clear customer avatar on Amazon, making it difficult to build momentum and rank organically.
The owner knew they needed a more strategic approach but simply lacked the bandwidth to develop and execute a sophisticated growth strategy on their own.
Cranium Press had a solid foundation, but they were missing the Amazon-specific playbook to unlock their potential. Sophie Society stepped in, conducted a deep audit, and implemented a data-based strategy to scale sales profitably.
