Ankur Sandhu
Dr. Raindrop

The Results

This partnership transformed Dr. Raindrop from an unprofessional-looking small business into a polished brand on a powerful growth trajectory. The combination of a full brand refresh and expert PPC management tripled sales.

The focus on recurring revenue was a massive success, increasing the Subscribe & Save customer base by more than 2x. Now free from the complexities of PPC, Ankur feels confident about the brand’s direction and is already planning to expand his product line with Sophie as his long-term growth partner.

About The Brand

Dr. Raindrop was founded by Ankur Sandhu, a doctor with a medical degree who saw a need for a high-quality hydration supplement. As a novice in the business world, he bravely launched the brand himself. But while the product was scientifically sound, the brand’s presentation on Amazon looked unprofessional, and complicated PPC advertising became a major challenge.

Ineffective PPC & An Unprofessional Image

Dr. Raindrop had a solid, doctor-formulated product but was failing to gain traction. The founder was managing PPC himself but “didn’t have a clue how to do it,” often stopping campaigns that were costing too much instead of optimizing them. The brand’s overall look and feel was unprofessional too, which was hurting customer trust and throttling conversions.

Once we’d onboarded them, we quickly uncovered a number of core issues and developed some insights:

Ineffective PPC Management

The founder was spending more money than necessary on ads without a clear strategy, which was wasting their budget and stalling their growth.

1

Unprofessional Brand Presentation

The product listings, particularly the images, looked very dull and unprofessional. This meant the product wasn’t communicating its value to potential customers.

2

Poor Listing Optimization

The listings were missing key buzzwords and keywords, and even had some major errors like showing ‘ounces’ instead of ‘servings’, which was confusing to customers.

3

No Strategic Guidance

As a medical professional new to business, the founder saw that navigating Amazon alone was a real struggle and had no guidance to help him through it.

4

Stagnant Sales & Subscriptions

Sales had plateaued and the brand wasn’t leveraging Subscribe & Save well enough to build more recurring customers.

5

A Full Brand Refresh & Expert PPC Management

Dr. Raindrop needed more than just better ad management – it needed a strategic partner to professionalize the brand’s entire presence. Sophie Society stepped in to be the coach the founder was looking for, overhauling the brand’s image on Amazon and implementing an expert-led PPC strategy.

We executed a complete visual brand overhaul

We analyzed Dr. Raindrop’s top competitors and completely redid the brand’s product images to make the listing look professional and trustworthy.

1

We optimized all listing content for conversion

We rewrote the listing copy to include high-impact buzzwords and keywords. We also corrected all errors in the listing, such as incorrect unit measurements.

2

We implemented a data-driven PPC strategy

We took over PPC management and began analyzing data and adjusting strategies to maximize performance. This led to more effective spending and a 4% reduction in TACoS.

3

We launched a Subscribe & Save coupon strategy

To build a base of loyal repeat customers, we implemented a Subscribe & Save coupon discount which helped increase the subscriber count by 2.2x.

4

We acted as a strategic guide and problem-solver

We became the brand’s ‘go-to guys’ for all Amazon matters, providing solutions for complex issues like integrating reviews and resolving listing problems.
